Abstract

This study aims to analyze the regulation of confiscation as an administrative sanction for violations of environmental permits, and accountability for the causes of the flood disaster in South Kalimantan due to illegal exploitation of natural resources.

This research is a normative legal research that examines legal norms, legal principles, and legal doctrines sourced from primary and secondary legal materials relating to the issue of confiscation as an administrative sanction applied to violators of environmental permits through a statutory approach and concepts that are supported by legal materials that are analyzed qualitatively, namely analysis without using numbers, but making conclusions on the results of interpretation of legal rules relevant to the subject so that conclusions can be drawn.

Confiscation can be applied to violations of environmental permits by authorized government officials in the context of enforcing environmental laws and is a special sanction due to violations of environmental permits, so it is necessary to evaluate the Government and Society of South Kalimantan Province that protecting the environment can collaborate with each other on land in the South Kalimantan Province to be able to follow the relevant laws and government regulations in the South Kalimantan Province Region.
