This study aims to analyze the main factors in increasing divorce during the COVID-19 pandemic, and find alternative legal protection for children who are victims of divorce due to termination of employment (PHK) in Banjarmasin City as an effort to suppress the increase in divorce rates and protect children as direct victims of divorce their parents.
The research method used is empirical law research, where empirical facts of various human behavior from interviews (questionnaires) and real behavior are carried out through direct observations (observations) which are used as research objects. The case approach approach is supported by quantitative data and qualitative data.
The findings of the legal research are the development of an open attitude, support for children, good communication with a psychological approach oriented between parents and children as an effort to ease the burden on children as victims of divorce, so that children's developmental growth continues to run normally.
